Dan Dickinson

Executive Chairman

Dan is the Executive Chairman at Oridian Capital Partners (formerly HCI Equity Partners), assisting in the oversight of the firm strategy while continuing as a board member of several legacy Oridian investments. He was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of HCI Equity Partners, the predecessor of Oridian Capital, from 2001 until his transition to Executive Chairman in 2023.

In addition to his role at Oridian, he is also the CEO and Board Member of Right to Dream, a leading global soccer and academic program that owns academies and training facilities in Africa and Europe, professional men’s and woman’s teams in Denmark and Egypt, and San Diego FC in the MLS together with its elite residential academy.

Prior to his role at HCI, Dan was the Co-Head of Global M&A at Merrill Lynch. He also had roles as Head of European M&A and Head of Global Manufacturing and Services M&A at Merrill and started his career in the M&A Group at The First Boston Corporation (now Credit Suisse).

He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Caterpillar, Inc., Chairman of the Board of Visitors for the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University, President of the Board of Trustees for the Cove School (a K-12 special education school) and on the Executive Committee of the US Olympic and Paralympic Foundation. He has both a Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, magna cum laude, from Duke University.

Most importantly he and his wife Gina are the proud parents of four adult children and three grandchildren.
